ASICS x OTTO958 Protoblast-CM LVIII OTTO

2019年11月にロサンゼルスの現代アートギャラリー、MORÁN MORÁNで開催されたエキシビションOTTO 95.8から派生したプロジェクトとAsicsとのコラボレーションシリーズ。全てのランナーに向けたシューズで搭載されることが主なクッション素材であるFLYTEFOAM BLASTを採用したスニーカーは、KIKOが関わるシューズに搭載されることが多く、ファッション性だけではない履き心地へのこだわりも強く反映された一足となっています。

This collaboration series between Asics and Kiko Kostadinov stems from the OTTO 95.8 exhibition, which was held at the contemporary art gallery MORÁN MORÁN in Los Angeles in November 2019. The sneaker features FLYTEFOAM BLAST, a primary cushioning material used in performance running shoes. Frequently incorporated in Kiko-designed footwear, this technology ensures not only a striking aesthetic but also an uncompromising focus on comfort and functionality.

デザイナーである三原康弘氏自身が粘土で型を作成した、少しだけチャンキーなオリジナルソールが最大の特徴。1997年にシューズの販売からキャリアをスタートさせてブランドは、既存の枠にとらわれない発想や、深く踏込んだデザインワークで私たちに新しい可能性を提示してくれます。

The standout feature of this design is its slightly chunky original sole, meticulously crafted by designer Yasuhiro Mihara himself using clay molds. Since launching his career in 1997 with shoe sales, Mihara’s brand has continuously pushed boundaries, offering fresh perspectives through innovative thinking and deeply considered design work.

adidas x Dime Gazelle Adv

GAZELLE ADVは90年代の名作であるGAZELLEをスケートボード使用にアップデートしたスタイルです。フォクシングテープを高く配し、非常にグリップ力に優れたアウトソールを搭載。つま先を2層にすることで耐久性を高め、成型ソックライナーでフィット感を向上させています。カナダのモントリオールで産まれたDIMEは、通常では3本のストライプが引かれるポイントにスタッズを配するなど、彼らの気分を表現した上品な一足に仕上げました。

The GAZELLE ADV is a skateboarding adaptation of the iconic GAZELLE from the '90s. It features an elevated foxing tape and an outsole with exceptional grip. The toe area is reinforced with a double-layer design for enhanced durability, while a molded sock liner provides improved fit and comfort. Born in Montreal, Canada, DIME has put its own refined touch on this pair, replacing the usual three stripes with stud details to reflect their unique aesthetic.
